Life without the internet
It's now been over a week since I found I had no internet connection at home, and it's really set me thinking. Withdrawal symptoms aside, one thing that really dawned on me is just how much we rely on the internet these days and just how much it is a central part of every day life. Here are some initial thoughts
I never really thought about how often we all say things like "oh just put it in an email" or "i know i'll look that up on google". It has become so natural to me with having the internet on tap, that it has almost felt like not having it is a hinderance. In fact, it has certainly made some things harder as the internet, among other things, is an incredibly useful resource of information.
I will be writing a full report on life without the internet, and how I feel that it is so engrained in our lives that coping without it isn't as easy as it sounds.
